Health & Wellness
A healthy camper is a camper who can make the most of camp.
The camp experience is an important part of the health and well-being of our campers. We want every child to have the opportunity to enjoy camp, try new things, build friendships and grow in a healthy and supportive environment.
We also know that parents are an important part of keeping campers healthy. That's why we work in partnership with you before, during and after your child's stay at Calvin Crest.
Before Camp
If your child is ill before arriving at camp, please contact the Calvin Crest office. We'll talk with you about the best options for your child and your family, which may include a refund or arranging for your camper to arrive at a later time.
Please don't send a sick child to camp. We want your camper to arrive ready to participate—and we want to help protect the health of the other campers and staff who make up our camp community.
While They're Here
Once campers arrive, our staff work throughout the week to promote good health and hygiene. Campers are encouraged to practice good hand hygiene and other healthy habits, and our staff regularly clean and sanitize living spaces and shared areas.
Our health care supervisor monitors the health of campers and staff throughout each session and is available to respond when health concerns arise.
Most importantly, we want campers to feel cared for. If a camper isn't feeling well, needs medication or has another health concern during their stay, our staff are here to help.
